To all the little kids who want to meet me,

Woof!  I like little kids and I am a good dog.  I am a good dog, but I am a big dog and I have a loud bark.  I am about 90 pounds. Some dogs are much smaller like my friend Boss, he is only 17 pounds and Martini is only about 10 pounds....we won't even discuss Sebastian at around 7!  If I stand on my back legs I can easily hug an adult with my front paws...I am tall.

If you want to meet me, you have to be calm, so please do not ask to meet me after you have eaten lots of candy and pop and are all hyper.  Also, do not try to make friends by teasing me through my house window.  That just gets me all excited, barking and knocking things over with my tail....then I get in trouble.  It also means that if we met, I may knock you over my mistake.

The best way to meet me is to be calm and to either join me on a walk or to stand near me for a bit.  I can get startled if you wave your little hands in front of my eyes or just grab for me.  It is also best, if you have a dog to not just let it lose to come run at me.  I am always on my leash when we are out on a walk and if another dog comes running at me off leash, I may jump or yank my walker off balance by accident.  I once knocked my mom off her feet with my leash when I went to meet a man on a bike....oops!

I like to play ball.  I'm real good at catching it in my teeth and then I can bring it back to you.  I like to have my back scratched and my tummy rubbed.  I like to run with my friend Boss and we share toys and treats sometimes.  I know how to sit, lie down and heal.  I stay sometimes.  My favourite toy is my soft squirrel.  I like to carry it around and make it squeak.  I also love tennis balls.

I sit well for treats...I like treats! I like visitors, and love to meet new friends.  Remember, approach me calmly.  You can actually use this information for all new dogs you see.  Always ask the person with the dog if it is friendly first, though. Some dogs can be grumpy...just like people....Woof!  I made a people joke!
