One of my favourite places to play is the dog park....any dog park.
I have a favourite park and it is near my house, but I have been to many. They are all pretty much the same. Dog parks are great places to run and play. Most dogs are friendly and I almost always have fun. Did I mention they are great places to run...I love to run and run and run.
If you are a cat, I don't think you will like it, but if you are a dog it's fun! If you are a dog and haven't been, tell you human to bring you to a park. They have areas for little dogs and lots of stuff to climb on and lots of trees to pee on.
Please don't bring little kids with you though....sometimes when we get running, we might knock them over accidently. We like little humans and don't like it when they get hurt......to some of the dogs, they are our family and we want them safe as much as we want to play with our doggy friends.
As a dog, I know how much fun and pleasurable it is to roll and play in mud, but I can tell you that my friends and I have learned that humans just don't like it. They never say, "Good Dog!" and scratch our ears after we play in mud. They do make us wash off with the hose or take a bath in the house after we play in the mud. My momma sometimes calls me her goat when I play in the mud. I don't think it is the same as when she calls me a rabbit for running fast.....after I rolled in the mud yesterday she said I smelled like a goat....hmmmmm. Spoke to Digger....he said the same thing, she wasn't happy about it.
So here are some of the things to remember if you are going to the dog park:
1. Leave your little humans at home
2. Don't roll in the mud -- no matter how much fun it looks like
3. Don't try to take a ball away from another dog.
4. Always meet the new dogs at the gate.
5. Try not to make fun of dogs when their parents do not take their leashes off between the entry gates. It is not their fault that their parents don't know the rules of the dog park.
6. If you are drooly, try not to get your 'shoelaces' on the humans.
7. If the humans bring coffee, it is not for you. Don't drink their coffee.
8. Don't get into a fight at the park. If there is a scary dog, go to your human. Don't fight.
But most of all remember, don't roll in the mud....it isn't always mud!
woof!
